Discovery Alburni Mountains
We are in the province of Salerno in the heart of the National Park of Cilento, Vallo di Diano and Alburni, precisely in the town of Ottati, from where by car we take a mountain road, which will take us up to 1350 meters of the Panormo Refuge. From here in two hours we will reach the summit of mountain, the peak of Mount Alburno (Panormo) with its 1740 meters of altitude. From here we can observe an amazing panorama that embraces a good part of the Vallo di Diano and Cilento up to the borders with Basilicata. For the descent we will take another path until we reach the refuge, where we could have an excellent hot meal and drink good wine.
P.s. At your request for this trek, in summer and spring you can stay overnight at the refuge with dinner and breakfast by reserving the room in advance, and live an experience in close contact with the wild nature of these places.
N.B. For the option with overnight stay there are two excursions: the first day is the excursion to the top, while the second day is the excursion to ‘Antece ancient warrior carved into the rock of the IV century BC, the Cave of Fra Gentile, and the old town of Sant’Angelo a Fasanella.
